Monty D. Stevens, Director of Stokes County EMS
Dear Michael:
On behalf of Stokes County Emergency Services, I want to thank you and HYT for helping us make the dream of a Mobile Command Unit a reality. The response from you and HYT has been nothing but spectacular to fulfill our request. In times of large events and disasters, communications is always at the forefront. With this unit and the provided equipment, we are now able to communicate effectively and efficiently on these types of events and will no longer have to rely on agencies outside of Stokes County to provide this type of service to us.

The unit has already been deployed on a couple of events and training exercises. Everyone, and I mean everyone that has seen the unit has been very impressed that Stokes County has this resource available. They are as equally impressed with the equipment that has been provided. You have provided us with a need, when we needed it the most. The generosity that you all have shown is nothing short of extraordinary.

In closing, we sincerely appreciate and applaud the efforts and equipment that you have provided to the Emergency Services of Stokes County, for it will truly make a ifference. Thanks again and I look forward to working with you all in the very near future.

Sincerely,
Monty D. Stevens, EMT-P

Back in January Stokes County Emergency Services put into service a Mobile Command Unit. In this unit we are using TM800 mobile radios. Both VHF and UHF. The capabilities that these radios offer us on scene are above and beyond what we expected. We now have the ability to dispatch and page on scene. The new equipment allows us to mobilize a dispatcher on large scale incidents and free up our 911 center. We also can dispatch from the Mobile Command if our primary 911 center goes down and we have already had this happen once during a severe storm.

Emergency Services is a vital part of the infrastructure in Stokes County and now that we have the HYT mobiles and equipment we can assure our citizens the assistance they have grown to expect in the event of an emergency.

Also, my staff is using the HYT TC780 on an everyday basis. I have found these radios to be very durable on fire scenes and other emergency calls for service. The cost is not bad either. With budgets tighter than ever I would recommend this radio to anyone in similar situations. The quality and durability is worth every penny.

In closing, my staff and the other emergency services personnel that have had the opportunity to use the HYT equipment are pleased with the functionality and the quality that HYT has brought to our county.
